A scene setup

Here is a mise en scene for one of the scenes im goin to do. Its the palace balcony outside Snow Whites new bedroom. Im pleased with the lighting and the free textures were a treat!

Pascal Blanche

When you open 3d max 9, a startup window comes up with two 3d snakes, I decided to take a closer look and found the name of Pascal Blanche. So i did some research on him and he has made some amazing stills. I like his sci-fi style which is pretty much what I want to do at some point. His models are complex but I can learn.

Character update

I have re-modelled Snow White since the last model was rushed and her movements were restricted due to time. Now that I have had the time, I gave her some basic face morphs and a new body but unrigged.

Lighting

I have been modelling an elven type building. After being satisfied with the result, I decided to play around with the lighting to give it some atmosphere. I find that lighting is extremely important as it determimes wether an object appears good or bad. For example, a complex and highly detailed model may look amazing but without suitable lighting, it can really degrade the quality of the model. So putting in lights will really give the model some atmosphere and make it look more realistic rather than it being in some static monotone space.
